Returns and Warranty Claims Without an Online Store
Selling through livestreams or direct messages? The customer submits a return through a single link, and you manage the case in the dashboard, without connecting any system at all.
You sell through livestreams or direct messages, and you don’t have an online store you could integrate with anything. The order is created in a conversation, and the return comes back the same way: another message, in another channel.
Where this usually looks the same
- live sales streams: Facebook Live, Instagram Live, TikTok Live, YouTube Live,
- direct-message sales: Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp,
- link-based sales: a simple landing page, an order form, a link in your bio,
- marketplaces without your own store.
What the problem is
There’s no single place for returns. Customers write in different channels, at different times, and you handle every request from scratch: you ask for the details again, check your notes for what was sent and when, then look for whether the package has come back.
With a dozen or so cases a month, you can manage it with memory and a messaging app’s search bar. With more than that, things start slipping through the cracks, and every mistake is publicly visible, because it happens in the same channel where you sell.
How this looks in RetJet
You send the customer a single link to the request form. You don’t need a page to embed it on: the form works at a ready-made address on our side, so you can just as easily paste it into a message, a stream description, or your bio.
From there, the same thing happens as with a store connected through an API:
- The customer provides basic order details, for example the order number, phone number, or email address.
- The request lands in the dashboard, where you decide whether it’s valid.
- The customer gets the option to send the return shipment.
- You see whether the package is on its way and when it arrived.
- You close the case with a refund, an exchange, or another decision, and the customer gets notified.
You can also upload orders from a file
The form doesn’t require any order data on our side: the customer enters it themselves. If you keep your own sales list, for example in a spreadsheet or a simple order system, you can instead upload your orders to RetJet from a file, without connecting to any store.
Once uploaded, the customer’s request lands against a ready-made order: you see what was bought and when, without copying it out of a message. The file follows our template, and we set up the upload together with you when your account launches. If you have your own developer, the same data can be sent automatically through our API.
What you gain
No more digging through messages. Every case is on a single list, with history and status, instead of buried in a chat archive.
One rule for every customer. The same form, the same deadline, and the same way of sending the package back, so there’s less room for misunderstandings and fewer exceptions to remember.
Faster case resolution. You can see where every request stands and whose move is next.
A start without any technical setup. You don’t need a store, API keys, or a developer. The details of this mode are covered by basic integration.
