How to connect InPost
How to connect InPost to RetJet: an API token from Package Manager, an organization ID, and where to enter them in the dashboard.
InPost connects as an add-on, not a sales channel. It handles creating and tracking the return shipment, so it’s configured in a different part of the dashboard than a store or marketplace.
Looking for the service where the customer drops off a return at a parcel locker without a label, at the store’s expense? That’s a separate integration, InPost Szybkie Zwroty, with its own access data.
What you need
The integration uses the InPost API, to which the carrier itself grants access on your business account. Prepare two values:
- an API token, an access key generated on your side,
- an organization ID, which indicates whose account the shipments should be created on.
You’ll find both in InPost’s Package Manager, in the section for the API. If you don’t see that section, it usually means the service hasn’t been activated on your account yet, and that’s the first thing to sort out with InPost.
Set up the add-on in RetJet
- Log in to RetJet.
- Go to the “Add-ons” section.
- Choose “InPost”.
- Enter the token and organization ID, then save.
After saving
InPost will appear as a way to send the parcel back in the return form. The shipment number is saved to the request the moment it’s created, so the warehouse knows what the parcel is about before it even arrives.
The available options depend on the service variant activated on your account. If the form looks different from what’s described here, contact us before filling it in.
