How to quickly deploy RetJet in your store? Two options

Basic integration without a developer, or an API connection with automatic order matching. See how they differ and which to choose.

RetJet offers two integration options you can match to your needs: basic (fast and simple, no developer needed) and an advanced one with an API (more functional and complete). Below you’ll find the steps for both options, plus tips on managing return requests.

Option 1: basic integration

A fast, simple integration that lets you start using RetJet in under 10 minutes. The customer fills in the form manually, entering their order details and the list of products to return.

  1. Add your company’s details: start setup.
  2. Choose the right sales channel option: set up the integration.
  3. Get the form’s code: go to the landing page.
  4. Add the form to a “Returns” subpage, or create a new “Return form” page and place the code there.
  5. Add the link to your order confirmation emails. You’ll find it in the same place as the code.

Why start with this option

Basic integration is the way to get started. Setting it up needs no developer and no complicated configuration. You can place the form anywhere on your site, for example in the footer or in a “Help” section.

Customers get a convenient way to return items, and you save time with a minimal setup cost.

Option 2: API integration

The advanced integration automates the returns process: the customer enters the order number and email address, and the system matches the order details on its own. This makes things more convenient for customers and gives you better analytics data.

Choose your e-commerce platform and connect it to RetJet: set up the integration.

With automatic order matching, customers quickly pick the products to return without entering details by hand. It’s also a source of statistics, such as the most commonly returned products or reasons for returns. The integration only requires setting up API access in your store platform’s dashboard.

Set up automatic request assignment

One worry when rolling out a new system is often having to reorganize the team’s work or run time-consuming training. Automatic request assignment removes that problem: the right person gets an email notification about a new request, so they only react when needed, instead of checking the system every day.

  1. Open the dashboard.
  2. Set up a rule.
  3. Choose the employee responsible for handling new requests.
  4. Make sure they know the procedure and how to use the dashboard.

Which option to choose

  • To start: basic integration, meaning a 10-minute setup with no developer.
  • For customer convenience and better data: API integration.
  • For your team: automatic request assignment, so handling runs without babysitting it.

Each option makes the returns process more efficient. Start with whichever fits your store today, and move to the API when your return volume calls for it.
